Hi All, been a while since I updated but we have been busy on the snowsports front. Last trip to the Alps was 3 weeks ago where we had fantastic snow and a great group of clients out training on the glacier (Hintertux).

Running a few BASI courses over the summer at The Snow Centre so getting out on the slopes quite a bit. Things with the Irish Association of Snowsport Instructors also progressing well with new courses for season 2013.

Next trip to the Alps will be driving through on my way to visit family in southern Austria (Kaernten), then off to Croatia! When I get back it will be the run in to winter. We are busy now sorting the new product range for the Snow Centre.

Keep up on our Alpine courses through http://www.petesilvergillespie.com

A few weeks back I had the pleasure of teaching Dame Kelly Holmes to ski. I can say she was a pure natural and picked it up really fast. You can read the report here.

Off to Budapest Sunday to attend the ISIA technical meeting. I will be presenting to the rest of the ISIA member nations the mountain security modules (level 1 and 2) ran by the Irish Association of Snowsport Instructors.

Although a non Alpine nation Ireland has one of the strongest training modules for Mountain security and off piste snowsport safety in the world!

Budapest in a city I have visited many times in the past few years (brith place of my Grandmother) and I have a great Aunt there. Always a please to visit such a fantastic place.

Full report on the ISIA meeting will follow on my blog.

May have a drop of Palinka (schnaps)?

Evening Guys,

Just thought I’d share with you a number of pictures of myself (white helmet) and Derek Tate on the official demo slope this morning.
